Good detail that is interesting for children

Edwards does a good job of keeping children interested in Obama's biography; the details about his childhood and dog help connect the young reader to the subject. This series, Who Is...., is impressive in giving young people knowledge about important people in their lives, as well as in past history.

My students love the "Bobblehead Biographies" and the one on Barack Obama does not disappoint. It is well-researched, easy for second- and third-grade students to comprehend, and provides details about Obama's presidency in a balanced way. The book does not step into controversial territory, which is the way it should be for a book aimed at young readers. Highly recommended!

About the Author

Dr. Anne Rose is the Coordinator of the Anticoagulation Stewardship Program at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Health System (UW Health) located in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Rose received her PharmD degree from Butler University. During her post graduate training she completed a PGY-1 pharmacy residency at the Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois. In her current position, Dr. Rose coordinates all anticoagulation related safety, quality, decision support and performance improvement initiatives across UW Health. In addition to coordinating the anticoagulation program, she also practices clinically in the areas of cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and in anticoagulation management at the UW Health Anticoagulation Clinic. In 2011, her Anticoagulation Stewardship Program received the Award for Excellence in Medication-Use Safety from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Research and Education Foundation for pharmacist led initiatives in improving patient care.

This is a very good book. It contains vital information that all believers should know. How can we serve the true God of the universe when we don't even know the truth about His Divine Nature (Godhead)? The author does an outstanding job of showing how the Biblical languages of Hebrew and Greek offer conclusive proof that the Elohim of Israel is the only true God, and that He is the one who took on human form to become the Savior of the world.
