Everything you need...kind of

First, let me start by saying that if it had been possible, I would have rated this 3.5 stars.

So, this book presents all of the necessary basic knowledge to become a competent percussive guitarist. Word to the wise, though, this book is not for beginning guitarists. It does not coddle you through learning the guitar, but, rather, builds upon basic assumed skills such as knowing chord shapes, chord changes, playing harmonics as well as requiring a decent understanding of tablature and music notation. Topics cover basic string slapping, two handed slapping, body percussion, harmonics, and alternative tunings. The exercises start off basic enough and then progressively get more and more complicated as your skills grow.

That being said, while the book provides the very basic foundation with minimal explanation, the DVD does even less to support the book or the learner as it only shows the exercises being played at full speed with no verbal instruction, and no slower versions for play along and practice. Together, the learner is really left on his/her own to piece the lessons and exercises together. Understandably, this is not much different than learning from tablature in a guitar magazine, but I expected more from the book altogether. The book and DVD together progress very quickly, but if you're patient and willing to put in the time, by the end of it all, you will be able to play some pretty fantastic pieces.

I don't know.. the tabs are ok the written part is ok, but the video...they made it with a lot of...how to tell..the video part should be the most accurate and important and they let it with no slow versions of the exercise, no comments for the learner..really really a bad idea

la historia es muy buena.para los que le gustan las historias sobre magia .magosy seres mitologicos.meg no recuerda nada de su pasado su vida esta bien hasta que su amo se introduce en su interior y le roba su escencia y la deja muy debil.su vida cambia cuando un unicornio es apresado por su amo.meg ayuda al unicornio a escapar y ella decide irse con el.su sorpresa cuando el unicornio se convierte en un apuesto hombre.simon ayudara a meg a enfrentarse con su amo lord drayton quien la tiene bajo un hechizo donde le esta robando su magia.meg es introducida al mundo de los guardianes que usan su magia para bien.ellos le ensenaran como usarla y protegerse y juntos simon y meg se enfrentaran a lord drayton.en una carrera contra el reloj para salvar al mundo y sus habitantes de los planes maleficos de drayton y liberar a los demas cautivos que tiene en su poder.tambien simon y meg tendran que luchar contra su atracion ya que la unica que puede romper el hechizo del unicornio es meg porque los unicornios se sienten atraidos por la esencia de una virgen y meg es su unica solucion hasta que averiguen como romper el hechizo.muy interesante la recomiendo.

What a gifted guy Swann was. To bad he died a little earlier than perhaps one would have anticipated.
The book is probably not quite what some think it is. If your a fan of Ingo Swann, you will most likely enjoy this book!
If your not a fan, then better hurry and buy his books before the prices go up any further!?! The prices are becoming ridiculous.
But the one I bought, which is the Kindle version, was reasonable. The book of the same name is going higher and higher....

Reviews the History of Psychic Research

Swann is a very engaging writer who has much personal experience in psychic research and practice. I bought this after reading Swann's "Penetration" and wanting to read more of his work. If I were naming the work, it would be something like "A Brief History of Psychic Research." I was impressed by his review of previous pyscyhic researchers, up thru Wilhelm Reich, and his discussion of how and maybe why such research has always been ghettoized by the typical Naturalist scientists. Finally, he does get to the title subject of psychic sexuality, which is equally interesting. I especially liked his description of his wild experiences with the Copper Mirror training.
