Richard E. Cascarino, MBA, CIA, CISA, CISM, is a consultant and lecturer with over thirty years’ experience in internal, forensic, risk, and computer auditing. He is Managing Director of Richard Cascarino & Associates, a successful audit training and consultancy company. For the last twenty-five years, they have been providing consultancy and professional development services to clients throughout the southern African region as well as Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. Outdated and overpriced

I have been conducting auditing and consulting for more than 15 years. This book contains valuable information on auditing and covers basics of computing environments. However it is outdated and severely overpriced for this content. Although the book states it was published in 2012, it provides decade old best practices which are not in use anymore, especially in cyber security area. It unnecessarily goes to detail on some technical topics instead of focusing on how to implement controls and reference newer standards about the topics presented by the author.
I would not recommend this book, unless you are new to the profession and need to cover basics.
